First of all, I hope no one thinks I’m taking my Hulk Hogan gun-flex pictures too seriously! Honestly, the point of these 5 photos is to document my physical condition on my 35th birthday, which is today. I hope to compare them to a few more pictures I’ll take in 6 months or a year from now. I really wish I had similar pictures from about 6 months ago to truly show a “before” state.

I’m still going to the gym at least 5 or 6 days per week, and I’m still improving. Today I ran 7.18 miles in 40 minutes, which is my best time so far. I’ve started working more with the big-boy free weights at the gym, and I’m sort of following the 100 Push-Ups program at home. As far as diet goes, I’m slowly working to fine tune that a bit as well. I just re-added beef to my diet for the first time since I was about 18 or 19 years old, and I’m trying to move towards a less-than-strict Paleo diet. It’s a work in progress.

I’ve lost a good amount of fat, still plenty more to go. Once I get that under control I’ll work to adjust my calorie intake and rebuild some muscle, just to sort of even out my body.

And yeah, that clown picture is creepy as hell. It’s been hanging in that spot for over 25 years and I just haven’t thought to change it. =P
